Think Stephen King has went soft after his accident? Think that he isn’t writing the classic gore that he is famous for? Well I’m here to tell you, “Cell” has everything that Stevie is famous for: Gore, Heroes, Supernaturality(if that’s a word), and good ol’ fashion horror. What would happen if cell phones turned us all into bloothirsty zombies?Well, some would argue that they already have.
At any rate, this is a very good book written in the classic King style. It has all you’d ask for from a horror book. It’s read by Campbell Scott, My generation knows him as “that guy in Singles” he has a great voice for horror books, accentuating the correct words at the correct time. I give this the #1 preset on my radio dial. Very entertaining and a definite nail-biter. You’ll be looking over your shoulder during your drive home to see if anyone on the phone has turned into a zombie.
